Blur Only the Region You Draw

Apply a clean, region-specific blur to any part of an image without touching the rest. Draw a Rectangle, Circle, or Polygon directly on the image, dial in blur strength and edge feather, and the rest of the picture stays sharp. Perfect for privacy blurring of faces and license plates, hiding sensitive on-screen content, and focused depth-of-field looks.

What it does

Selective Blur lets you blur a specific user-drawn region of an image instead of the whole frame. Open the "Edit Region" modal, pick a shape (Rectangle, Circle, or Polygon), draw it directly on the image, and Apply. Then use the Blur slider to set how strong the blur is and the Feather slider to control how softly the blurred area fades into the surrounding image. Everything outside the region stays untouched. Useful for privacy, redaction, focal emphasis, and selective stylization.

Configuration Options

• Blur (Strength) (1 ~ 10): How strongly the selected region is blurred.
  • Effect: Higher = softer, more obscured region; Lower = subtle smoothing
  • Examples: 1–2 (light smoothing), 4–6 (moderate privacy blur), 8–10 (heavy obscure / unrecognizable)
  • Use cases: Low for stylization; high for privacy/redaction
• Feather (Edge Softness) (0 ~ 100): How softly the blurred region fades into the surrounding image.
  • Effect: 0 = hard edge (visible boundary); higher values = smooth, natural transition
  • Examples: 0 (crisp edge), 25 (mild falloff), 51 (soft, natural blend), 100+ (very gradual)
  • Use cases: Higher feather values look more natural for faces and skin; lower feather is fine for rectangular redaction blocks
