AI-Powered Video Upscaling & Quality Restoration (High-Quality Variant)
Most AI video restoration tools grind through many processing passes, trading time and cost for quality. SeedVR2-7B is the larger, higher-quality member of the SeedVR2 family — it still restores blurry, compressed, or low-resolution footage in a single pass, but with more visual fidelity than the lighter 3B variant, making it the pick when output quality is the top priority. Built by ByteDance Seed.

What it does
SeedVR2-7B is the premium variant of ByteDance Seed's SeedVR2 video restoration and enhancement model. It takes damaged, blurry, compressed, or low-resolution video footage and restores it to sharp, high-quality output in a single processing pass. The 7B variant offers higher output quality compared to the lighter SeedVR2-3B, making it the better choice for production scenarios where visual fidelity is the top priority. Like its smaller counterpart, it is significantly faster than most competing restoration tools, which require many repeated processing passes to achieve similar results.
Problem it solves
- Old or degraded footage – Restores heavily compressed, blurry, noisy, or low-resolution videos to sharp, high-quality output
- Slow restoration pipelines – Most AI video restoration tools are slow and computationally expensive. SeedVR2-7B completes restoration in a single pass, dramatically cutting processing time and cost
- High-resolution output – Handles high-resolution video restoration with adaptive quality control, avoiding the visual inconsistencies that commonly appear in other tools when scaling up
- Real-world content – Built to handle real-world footage with its varied and unpredictable degradation, not just controlled lab test videos
- Premium output quality – When output fidelity is critical, the 7B variant delivers a meaningful step up in visual quality over the 3B version
Input/Output
- Input:
- A degraded, low-quality, blurry, compressed, or low-resolution video
- Parameters:
- Target resolution (dropdown, default 720p)
- 720p — HD (1280 × 720). Fastest option; typical processing time ~5 – 15 minutes
- 1080p — Full HD (1920 × 1080). Common target for social / web / production preview
- 1440p — QHD (2560 × 1440). Higher-detail restoration for larger displays
- 2160p (4K) — Ultra HD (3840 × 2160). Highest-quality target; expect the longer end of the 5 – 15 minute range (as noted in the node description)
- Random seed (-1 = random) — set a fixed integer to reproduce the same restoration across runs
- Output: A restored, high-resolution MP4 video file
- Visually sharp with reconstructed details and textures where they were lost
- Smooth, coherent motion throughout the full length of the video
- Resolution matches the selected Target resolution
